Overview
Lourdes Ferrer Lieberman is the founder of Ferrer Law Group. She provides legal counseling on both transactional and litigation matters related to community association law, consumer protection law, business law, real estate and commercial litigation. Her client base consists primarily of homeowner associations, corporate business entities, real estate investors and investment groups, as well as consumers involved in complex consumer litigation claims. Ms. Ferrer’s practice has emphasis on Community Association Law and Consumer Protection Litigation. She is well versed in issues surrounding the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Florida Consumer Protection Act and other related consumer protection statutes. Spending her legal career handling both sides of the law representing both Plaintiffs/Creditors and Defendants/Debtors, has afforded Ms. Ferrer the ability to aggressively litigate collection and commercial instrument matters, while protecting homeowner associations, and other creditors, from potential claims surrounding unorthodox collection and foreclosure practices.

For over twelve years, Ms. Ferrer has focused her litigation practice to the South Florida area. Her understanding of the diverse cultural backgrounds and individual community issues allow her to effectively lead her legal team in providing custom legal and business strategies. Ms. Ferrer provides legal counseling on all matters relating to management, contracts, enforcement, elections, bank foreclosures, evictions and landlord/tenant issues. She also represents associations in property damage claims against insurance companies.

Prior to starting her firm, Ms. Ferrer worked at two of the larger law firms in Florida. In 2003, Ms. Ferrer practiced at one of the largest insurance defense firms in the State, until 2010 where she expanded her practice areas by joining one of the largest community association practice groups. Shortly after joining the group, Ms. Ferrer was appointed as the Managing Attorney for Becker & Poliakoff’s high volume assessment collection and foreclosure office, serving the entire Southeast tri-county area. She served primarily in the litigation and community association practice groups and was instrumental in the development and expansion of the firm’s collection and foreclosure office, as featured in the South Florida Business Journal, July 29, 2011 issue.

The firm’s business model is designed to provide effective and speedy legal solutions, individually tailored to suit a client’s particular legal needs.
